The airline’s own website most likely will have the best flights. I always check expedia.com or orbitz.com and then see which airline has the cheapest flight, then go to that airline’s website, pick the same flights and 99% of the time they’re the exact same price. Some airlines (I know American Airlines) guarantee that you will find the cheapest fares on their own website. Also, many of those sites charge “booking fees” of $5 or more so it’s actually cheaper through the airline. And also the “low-fare” carriers usually don’t offer their tickets through those sites so you have to book through the airline’s website. However, JetBlue always seems to be a more expensive option for me (and sometimes considerably more)

sometimes you are already doing the best you can if there is a big event going on, because actually Vegas does not have really good air service. Did you try Kayak.com — they are the best.
Your only other option is to fly to Palm Springs, rent car and drive if that’s a better fare OR….fly to LA (lots of cheaper flights there) and hope a LA - Vegas flight from there….or bus!

expedia.com, airtran.com, southwest.com, jetblue.com

Try booking through the airlines themselves… they don’t charge a booking fee, and they are usually the cheapest. It used to not be this way, but now with so many online agencies this is changing.
If you don’t have a hotel in Vegas reserved yet, check out Vacationstogo.com. They have good charter deals to Vegas that include airfare and hotel and usually it’s less than the plane ride there.

Go to travelocity to see what airlines have the flights you want at a good price. Then go to that airlines site and it will usually be about 10 dollars cheaper. You also have to check southwest because they don’t sell tickets on any of the travel sites.
